gray Spotlights Chicago Designer Abigail Glaum-Lathbury

It’s February of 2008 and gray is happy to announce it’s celebrating the new month by showcasing one of Chicago’s up and coming hot designers. Abigail Glaum-Lathbury has brought her eclectic Spring Collection to our store for us to enjoy for February and March. Abigail uses a unique combination of feminine fabrics with edgy designs in her ready-to-wear line which first launched in 2005. Her success grew quickly and before she knew it she was helping design costumes for dance companies such as The Seldoms and the International Contemporary Ensemble.
Abigail got her inspiration for the ready-to-wear Spring 2008 collection by examining the unusual places and awkward movements of seemingly lifeless subjects, such as entomology and anatomy. She redefines the relationship between garment, wearer, and the understanding of traditional beauty. Her work has been recognized in the New York Times Magazine, Time Out Chicago, Chicago Reader, Lucky, Venus, and Mule.
Stop in gray today to see what all the buzz is about!
