For some, spring has arrived. Right now, those people are spring breaking it at exotic resorts or testing their snow skiing capabilities high atop the Rocky Mountains. But for those who are not in a teaching profession, or do not have families, or just simply do not get a spring break, they are looking out at the snowy streets once again, just wondering when it will start feeling like spring.

The flowers have already started to sprout, only to get knocked back into the ground by the random snow showers now and again. I love when people come into the store and say, "will you be getting more Spring things in soon?" We are fully stocked with awesome Spring merchandise what could you possibly be looking for that we don't have? I've determined that this is code for: I can't make a decision on anything other than what I am going to wear tonight but I don't want to miss the opportunity to get some cute Spring things but then again its only March and surely there will be cute things later on. (Note:These are the same people who come in in June and July and ask where all of the cute Spring and Summer things are and why is everything on sale?)

FYI the stores are at their greatest stock level RIGHT NOW. While I thinks its ridiculous since its 40 degrees outside right now - its just the way it works. Starting in June and July we are into "transition" and fall (I know thats also ridiculous since its 100 degrees then and who wants a wool sweater) but again its the way it is. Just so you know, the retailers don't dictate this insanity.

SPRING TRAVEL PLANS?

Going someplace WARM this Spring? If not, then just shove a big sweater and jeans in a bag and go freeze like you have been for the last 6 months. If you are like me and you were smart enough to book a warm weather vacation, then you'll want some tips on what to pack.

Lets start with the plane. I understand that people like to be COMFY (I hate this word as it relates to fashion - well primarily because it doesn't) but we still need to be presentable. There is nothing more revolting than an unshowered unbrushed sweatsuit wearing family wandering around o'hare with their pillows(because they had to wake up earlier than the rest of us)Mom is wearing her men's sized XXL cubs tees (for extra comfort) and might I say one word about gym shoes - "GYM" So, instead how about a pair of leggings, flats and a tunic - can't get more COMFY than that but you'll still look fashionable - oh and YES to the shower deoderant and brush!

Packing for warm is simple. 10 dresses (2 nice, 8 daytime knock around), 1 long sleeve white blouse - tunic length, 3 white tees (if you think you are going to dig around for your white tees from last year- forget it they're trashed!), 2 cardigans (wraps, jackets), 2 swimsuits, a beach coverup which is actually a cute dress, 1 neutral bag, 1 neutral sandal, 1 black sandal, 1 flip flop to match swim suit and DONT forget a beach/pool bag (they are easy to pack) - please do not tote your belongings around in a plastic hotel drycleaning bag that you found in your closet. Also, bring your workout clothes and all of your fun extra beauty products (teeth whitener, nail oil, hair masque, facial products, body & foot scrub) get some sun, eat fresh food, work out, beautify and you'll come home feeling great!
